Our Greatest Loss for
God’s Greater Gain
photos
taped upon a board
tender
duty of loving children
a
smiling man taking his part
joyful
in the lives of others
son,
husband, father, friend
child
of God in His great care
these
tears too shall pass
for
the promise still remains
and we know that in all things
God
works for the good of those who love him,
who
have been called according to his purpose
he
too has been called
called
to serve a greater cause
than
merely drawing breath
willingly
walking close with God
that
his desire would God’s will obey
the
sacrifice made for others
God
will not deny nor forget
His
gift new life from our loss
as
once before in greater measure
new
life came from His own
unless
a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
it
remains only a single seed
but
if it dies, it produces many seeds
the
man who loves his life will lose it,
while
the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
what
was once is no more
that
better things may come
we
will not all sleep, but we will all be changed
in
a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet
for
the trumpet will sound,
the
dead will be raised imperishable,
and
we will be changed.
the
plan of God is inscrutable
His
patience all forbearing
that
His will
His
good and perfect pleasing will
may
yield its great reward
He
is patient, not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance
