Vanderwater Park

Vanderwater Park is a marvelous place where nature is free to work its wonder upon the soul.  To me it has always been a haven of peace where I would be able to wander the world much as I believe God intended it to be.  It is in places such as Vanderwater Park that I have always felt His presence best.  In such a place I have often felt it is no strange thing to believe that He is walking alongside in a world just newly made, sharing a Father's gift with His child.

Autumn Flame

Just twenty minutes north of Belleville, where Highway 37 crosses the Moira River, Vanderwater Park is an ideal starting point for canoe trips down the river to the Bay of Quinte, or for hours of relaxation in its rapids.  Its trails are a pleasure at any time of year and come into their full glory in the fall as the leaves begin to change, fall, and crunch underfoot.  Many of my favourite autumn pictures have been taken within its forests and meadows.  When autumn is at its height and the multi-hued trees show their reflections just right in the river it is impossible to ignore that this wonder is but a reflection of a greater glory.
