Mass has made it the favourite of his many settings of this text. An all-Canadian cast of vocal soloists, chorus, and orchestra join forces for an uplifting hymn of praise. The Violin Concerto No. 5 drew its nickname
from a spicy, percussive episode in the finale.

Strauss, Jr. spread the intrinsically Viennese concepts of the waltz and operetta throughout the world. His "Blue Danube Waltz" has become Austria's unofficial national anthem, and "Die Fledermaus"
is by far the world's favourite operetta.
