Pellegrina

Bassadanza, choreographed by Guglielmo Ebreo. (25 (or 24) bars total x 2)
For two women and one man.

Steps: all done "in 6" = Reverenza, sempio, doppio, continenza, ripresa, mezavolta, voltacia, volta del gioioso, saltarello.
Start:  Three people, side by side, holding hands, Woman 1 on the left, Man in the middle, Woman 2 on the right, facing up the hall. There should be 16 steps in front, 8 steps behind clear.
 

      Section 1 (7 bars)
Continenze Left and Right,
Sempio Left, Sempio Right, Doppio Left, Doppio Right, ending with Mezavolta Right,
Ripresa Left, Ripresa Right,
Reverenza Left.

      Section 2 - Arming (4 bars)
Man and woman to his left (Woman 2) take right hands and circle with Sempio Left, Sempio Right, Doppio Left,
  as Woman 1 does the same steps in a circle on her own, turning to the right
Man and woman to his right (Woman 1) take left hands and circle with Sempio Right, Sempio Left, Doppio Right,
  as Woman 2 does the same steps in a circle on her own, turning to the left

      Section 3 - separate (5 bars)
Sempio Left, Sempio Right,
Doppio Left, Doppio Right, ending with a Mezavolta Right,
Ripresa Left, Ripresa Right.

      Section 4 - return and finale (9 bars)
Sempio Left, Sempio Right, Doppio Left, (not quite back together yet)
Volta del Gioioso,
Sempio Left, Sempio Right, Women ending with a Mezavolta Right,
Voltacia, Reverenza Left.

Repeat the dance, going the other way, the woman having excahnged roles.


Reconstruction Notes

The initial continenze are not in any source, but are included to match the length of music on the recording used. The dance is 24 bars without them.
