Rosina's Dance Page

Discography

Here are some recordings that have Renaissance dance music. If they can be used with the reconstructions given on these pages, more information on the recording (such as size of introduction, and if the dance has to be modified to fit the music) will be given there. If the recording is unusable for the reconstruction, that will sometimes be mentioned here. If the name of the dance on the recording is quite different from the name used for the dance in these pages (such as Jupiter, which is also known as Jove or Giove) the name used in these pages will be included as well.

Figlie Guilielmin (Fia Guielmina), is played as a bassadanza - it can work, but is quite tricky, and will need a bit of adjustment. The piece labelled as Collinetto is actually La Vida de Colin (Vita di Cholino), in a form not usable for the dance. There is also a very nice galliard.
