Love: A deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons. An expression of one's love or affection.
That is the definition of love. But isn't it so much more than that? There is not just one clear definition of the emotion called love. So, when is it love? It is love when you realize that you cannot live without that special person, and if you tried, it would be a disaster. It is love when you know your parents would still accept you even if you did something to disobey them. You know it is love when you want to be near that one special person in your life all the time. You know you are loved when your friends accept you for who you are and don't judge your decisions in life. You know it is love when people do little things to help you get through your day, sometimes it's the little things that make us feel loved.
Love is something you cannot define. It is something we can share with everyone, no matter what race or belief. Because love touches all Hearts, and we all have a heart. It may be hidden beneath different coloured skin, but you can be sure it is there. It is somehting you have to feel to know that it is there, but it is always there. Love is something that people share with them in their lives. They just always assume it's there. But what if one day you woke up without the feeling of being loved? You would surely realize just how important love really is. Sometimes, people don't want to let love in, so they spend their whole life blocking it out. I think that is how hatred is born.
Love does not discriminate, it is natural for us to feel love between all races, no matter what society tells us to feel. Love should be shared between all people no matter what race, religion, belief, who loves us, and who we choose to love.
Love is something we all need whether it's the reassuring fact that there is someone out there that cares about us, or the loving acceptance from your parents. Love is many things and can be expressed in many different ways. We just have to listen to them, and recognize the different signposts pointing out the ways.
