Queer Pride 2013

A festival of queer theatre, comedy, art, music, and parties that showcases the community's unstoppable spirit. For four weeks, Buddies hosts a stellar line-up of Toronto's most exciting queer entertainers, while Buddies  After Hours offers up some of the most outrageous clubbing in the village.
  Highlights include:
PrideCab, a multi-disciplinary cabaret created by members of Buddies' Queer Youth Arts Program that explores what it means to be young and queer today.
TRUTH/DARE, a live recreation of the famous 1991 concert DVD from Madonna's Blond Ambition Tour, performed by local queer celebrities such as Salvatore Antonio, Gavin Crawford, Keith Cole, and Sharron Matthews.
Award-winning character comic and star of This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Gavin Crawford, returns to Buddies with his signature combination of oddball characters and impressions.
The best queer comedy in town, with perennial favourites Bitch Salad and Homo Night in Canada showcasing the talents of Julie Klausner, Emma Hunter, Mae Martin, Vong Sundara, Dawn Whitwell, and more, as well as the return of the Paul Hutcheson's Pride Pacakge and a new
showcase from Mariko Tamaki.
A late night feminist cabaret hosted by Now Magazine sex columnist Alex Tigchelaar
Dance sensations ILL NANA bring back their smash-hit Rhubarb show FIRE as part of a 2-day showcase and conference on queer artists of colour in dance and performance.

A bioconcert that is completely original in its concept, Once Upon A Dream was a sold-out hit on Broadway, thrilling audiences and critics alike.

The Meme-ing Of Life

This uplifting and uproarious new sketch comedy revue explores life's fleeting wins and epic fails, and considers how -- with just a few little differences -- each of us can make the universe a better place. With gigabytes of data constantly steaming past us, it can be hard to comprehend the big picture. But if the internet has taught us anything, it's to cherish life's little pleasures - such as a stranger's kindness, a puppy's innocence, or the opportunity to share a laugh with our friends.
