from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London examines the influence of Surrealism on the world of design, theatre, fashion, film, architecture, and advertising. Showcasing some 180 items, Surreal Things
presents Surrealist artists who were working after 1930, including Salvador Dalí, Giorgio de Chirico, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, René Magritte, Joan Miró, Meret Oppenheim, Man Ray, and Elsa Schiaparelli.

30th Annual Polo For Heart
:: Top ranked polo players from across North
and South America and Ireland will compete over three days to raise money for children's heart disease, and healthy living research and education.
Two exciting, fast-paced, international polo matches will be played each day. Besides the action on the field, guests to the event can browse the boutiques and silent auction tents, watch

Father's Day weekend event as ten professional BBQ teams will compete for the best ribs, chicken, pork shoulder and brisket at the 1st Annual Crazy Canuck BBQ Championships. Teams will vie for both cash and
prizes! Napoleon Gourmet Grills will be presenting the 5th Annual Father's Day Cook Off
hosted by Chef Ted Reader on Sunday the 21st as five competitors, father-son and father-daughter teams, will be flown in from across Canada to compete in this unique competition. Teams will try to master their variation of a recipe created by Ted Reader, while foodie judges (chefs, food writers etc.) will select the best dish.
The Toronto Fire Fighters Association in partnership with Beach Ribfest will be hosting the 1st Annual Toronto Fire Fighter Command Cook Off
on Saturday the 20th. Fire fighters from the North, South, East and West Commands will compete against each other for the best rib recipe and bragging rights.
Also, there will also be a beer garden set up and entertainment provided. A fun, smoky afternoon by the beach for all.

Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival

International Dragon Boat Race Festival is the 'granddaddy' of all dragon boat races and the largest dragon boat festival outside of Asia. It entices teams from all over the world to Toronto, including from
across Canada and the United States to compete in the sport of dragon boat racing. From its humble beginnings with only 20 teams, registration for the regatta has grown exponentially to over 200
teams, with 6,000 paddlers! Demonstrating the popularity and strong growth of this ancient water sport. Celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month of the Chinese calendar, dragon boat
racing is not only one of the most important Chinese traditions second to Chinese New Year, but now is an annual event held in over 40 countries.
All around the world, people have embraced this water sport and formed dragon boat racing clubs in their own countries.
